Iran flick ‘Azar’ secures encore in Canada fest

Niki Karimi’s latest movie ‘Azar’ is set to be featured again at the Vancouver International Film Festival, Canada.

Niki Karimi’s latest movie ‘Azar’ has secured a one-off encore at the Vancouver International Film Festival, Canada.

According to a Saturday media release from international seller of 'Azar', Farabi Cinema Foundation, the film is to be screened at the “2017 VIFF Repeats” program which features the festival’s most popular films.

Produced by and starring Niki Karimi, ‘Azar’ is Iranian actress Niki Karimi’s second production after ‘Night Shift’. She has also directed three other movies so far.

Niki Karimi, Hamidreza Azarang, Farid Sajjadi Hosseini, Hasti Mahdavi, Leila Zare, Maedeh Tahmasbi, Pejman Jamshidi and Houman Seyyedi are among the movie's cast.

Launched in 1982, the Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) is an annual film festival held in Vancouver, British Columbia, for two weeks in late September and early October.

VIFF continues to expand the frame to create multi-experiential streams that include some of the best cinema from around the world, fused with related talks and events, in a unique way.

Festival audiences and creators have a chance to discover, discuss and connect more at one of North America's most accessible events, in one of the most beautiful cities on the planet.
